I just got a haircut from a guy who knew very little English!

Don't worry, the guy did a pretty good job, better than every haircut that I've given myself, haha. This last week cruised by. We didn't find many new people this week but spent a lot of time with those we already have met and helped them to continue to progress. Two of our friends from Haiti don't know much English and that is a struggle we are having with them. I still can't believe that we are teaching people that don't understand us but the members of the church who know English and Haitian Creole are a lot of help. One of our friends, Walline, who didn't know much English before has actually been learning and understands a lot more than when she first started meeting with missionaries. So that is way cool to see and gives me hope that she will be able to learn a lot more easily from us.

It was another week of being fed a lot by members. Oh I love Nassau and food, haha. I may be getting out of practice with my cooking, though, so if I move areas or go back to Jamaica that will be a tough adjustment. One thing that the members from Haiti like to cook is suspwa and rice. Sounds fancy and it tastes good but it simply is boiled black beans, probably with other spices and things, on rice and it goes very well with chicken or fish. This week we had both, haha.

We went to visit this kid and his family, named Elijah, that we found last week. When we got there he wasn't home and his mom was pretty sick. She told us he was at the basketball court a few blocks over so we went over to see him. He and some other kids were shooting around a basketball and when we got there we asked if we could join. Though kids can talk some trash on the court, it was nice to see some of them calm down after we played for a bit. We set up a time to meet with Elijah and his family again and told the other kids a little bit about what we do. We then proceeded to get lost on our way back and bump into an inactive member who hasn't been to church in years and says she wants us to meet with her and to come back to church. It was awesome because things didn't go the way we planned but we went along with it and with what we felt we should do.

This week was very good but it definitely came with its own hardships as well. I was very grateful for an email from my dad, last week, that I've reflected on a lot. One thing he shared was to work together with people to help fix a problem instead of looking at people as the problem. I wanted to share that out as well because everyone has their trials and problems. However, because we are all children of God that chose to be here on earth, we all have the potential for good.

I love you all, go out and help fix problems haha.
