Many, many blessings!

Started off the week with Zone Conference! We had some great trainings and discussions from the Sisters, President, and the APs. Sadly, Elder Webb and I had to miss some of it to get food but from what we got to participate in, it was great! I got to conduct the conference as well, which was fun!  So last week we met Miss B who said she would get our number to the landlord of the apartment we found. Well, we didn't get a call so we called her. She was with the owner that morning but lost our number! She felt so bad but was glad she could now give it to the landlord. Then on Thursday, we had our day planned with a lot of time talking with people in town but as we were leaving we get a call from the realtor and asked if we could meet him in town at the library in 15 minutes! Of course we said yes and met with him. He told us about the apartment, which is a 1 bed, 1 bath, very cozy. It also shares a front door with another separate unit. After giving us all of the details he tells us

House and Church Hunting

We have moved to Falmouth and I'm back to a small town! It's a very much smaller town than Montego Bay but it has been a good week. The place we live at now is a little drive away from Falmouth and so is where we have church. So that's one of our assignments, to find an apartment and somewhere else for church. It's been a lot of work meeting everyone in the area because Elder Webb and I don't know almost any of them haha. It has been good though and has kept us busy, on top of everything else. We also got to have exchanges in Sav La-Mar! It was so fun to see Elder Driscoll and I got to go on exchanges with Elder Wheeler, who actually saw my parents in the airport on his way here haha. Elder Wheeler and I worked in Falmouth over the phone so we had a lot of time in the apartment. We did just make phone calls, but it was really good. The more and more missionaries I have met, the more excited I am for the future of Jamaica. There's a lot of amazing Elders and Sist

Bye bye Montego Bay

Welp time here has been short. There is a little change of arrangement in the Zone so Elder Webb and I are moving to Falmouth!! The largest reason is because with a vehicle in that area, it will make the missionary work there a lot easier. Falmouth has a small group where we meet for church under some tents and chairs that we set up. I actually had the chance to go this Sunday and it was pretty fun. I didn't know until today that we would be running the church there from now on, hahaha. One thing I am grateful for is that Elder Webb has already served in Falmouth and he knows the area well. That will make adjusting to the area much much better. This week we had several exchanges and they were really good! One was with Elder Gillings who is also serving in Montego Bay and it was really nice to be back on my feet some more. It was also fun to taxi! Definitely have missed the little things :)  It was especially great because I got to do this all on my birthday! It's ok we celebrat

Montego Bay Conference

Phew, it feels like it was just last week I wrote an email.  Something really cool with this week and being in Montego Bay is that I remembered someone I taught a few months ago named Romain. He was in Yallahs and was preparing to be baptized when he moved to MoBay and got super busy and stressed. We ended up sending his dot over to the Elders here and they were never able to contact him. Well my first day in this area I thought about him and we gave him a call. He answered!! He is still busy but really wants to make time to meet us. Hopefully we will see him this next week.    Having a truck for the companionship is way different. There's the obvious perks but I'm finding a good amount of disadvantages as well with doing missionary work. One is we often become delivery boys for the Zone, haha. Another is that parking in town is very, very hard. However, because of the blessing of the truck we were able to visit a member who lives very far out in the bush. Brother and Sister Cl

Trainee Training!!!

We got transfer news for the next transfer and Elder McBride is going to be training! It was a surprise but he is a lot more ready than he thinks. I am getting transferred to Montego Bay which is the last corner of Jamaica that I have yet to touch! I'm really sad to be leaving Port Antonio so soon but I am excited for everything that will be so new! This week we have been meeting with members, either reteaching them the missionary lessons or teaching them how to love, share, and invite. A lot of our lessons with members have gone really really well! With some there has been such an excitement to do missionary work and others have felt the Spirit testify to them truths they may have forgotten. We almost had a hurricane so a lot of lessons were canceled but prayers were answered as the hurricane avoided Jamaica.   Another highlight was getting to see mom and dad! Snuck up on them on Friday and offered them a Book of Mormon, sadly they didn't accept it but they were excited to see
