So I can't walk on water ...

I feel really bad for the Elders in Santa Cruz. Haha so last weekend we were seeing a lot of storms coming our way on the weather app for this whole week. Then for the whole week we saw the massive storm clouds go right past us and straight to Santa Cruz!! We had a district counsel in Santa Cruz on Tuesday and it seemed to be a break in the rain. However, 10 minutes before our meeting was over, we  heard it absolutely dumping outside. It was probably the hardest it has rained since I have been here! The picture I shared will show how insane it was haha.  One thing that I have been trying to do more recently is to not teach the lessons by reciting memorized speeches but truly teach by the Spirit. We are promised as servants of the Lord that the words will be given to us that need to be said. So if this is true then I can trust that that will happen. In lessons I try to solely focus on what Elder Schneider or our friends are saying and when an idea comes of what to say I go straight to

Good morning! (Or good whatever time you are reading this) We had transfers this week and nothing changed! It was my first transfer with the same area and companion and I am so glad. Our entire zone had very little change as well, which is really abnormal. I am looking forward to these next 6 weeks! 😁👍👍   Now Tuesday through Thursday we're pretty normal days. Tuesday we went to Tophill and taught our friends in that area and it was good. Nothing different happened there.  Wednesday we went to an area Elder Schneider and I have yet to go to. We were planning to meet up with someone we met from Facebook, but we had a couple of hours before she was off work. We decided to walk around and get to know the town a little and met several people and taught some lessons. Whenever you try teaching when you first meet people you can get some pretty interesting lessons, haha. We met with our Facebook friend, Ingrid, and she really just had a lot of questions and wanted to ask us what was t

Ok, starting off the weekly with a bang! We had exchanges with the Santa Cruz Elders and I got to be with Elder Reeder in the Junction area. We went to Tophill for the day, which we have been going to a lot recently. We actually went there again on Thursday with Elder Schneider. Both days we taught the same people. Brittany Gardens, Vashnie, Arvil, Nicholas and Maria. Sorry, a lot of names, but all of them are doing pretty well right now and seem to be willing to come to church ... not this week, but next, so we will see how that goes.  Wednesday, we went to Bull Savannah to visit JJ and Kirk Burke. They seem to be doing well, but still not looking too good to be able to make it to church. We taught about the priesthood and priesthood blessings. JJ was interested in blessings and we offered to give him one. I had the opportunity to do so and left with an invitation to continue reading the Book of Mormon. On the way up we talked with these two Jehovah's Witnesses and actually taug

It's Monday again?!

This week went by blazing fast! We had exchanges with the Santa Cruz area on Tuesday and I got to work with Elder Kirby in Santa Cruz and Elder Schneider and Elder Reeder went out to visit an area and got absolutely poured on. I honestly love exchanges because you get so much experience teaching in different ways. I learned a lot from Elder Kirby and then we also got to go on exchanges with the other companionship in our district.  Thursday I got to be with Elder Samuels in Junction and I learned a lot from him as well. We went to Tophill, which is our most progressing area right now, and spent about the whole day walking from one person's house to another person's shop and teaching them. One of which is Brittany Garden and she is the granddaughter of Sister Alveranga. We have visited both of them before but more recently, Brittany has been participating more. She tends to be a little more shy but shared a lot this last time and says she is going to start reading the Book of
