Alright, sorry about last week

So I am back in Jamaica! I have missed it here, that's for sure. Being in the culture and being around the people has brought back a lot of good feelings. I feel like my adjustment hasn't been too bad but we did come back and forth between Islands a lot for the last few months. I have a new companion and his name is Elder Blackwood! He is from Yallahs and actually decided to serve his mission when I was there in his home branch. He was a great youth when I was there last year and it's so cool to be training him into his mission. He was originally assigned to the Ivory Coast, Africa Mission but will be here for 6 weeks before he goes to the MTC in Ghana.

We have been really focusing on teaching the people the good word of God. Teaching from the scriptures to everyone recently has brought a lot of miracles. This one Sister we have met with was able to invite her friend to church after a lesson we had and then shared with us that she wasn't active in church herself but that she feels she needs to come back. She told us how grateful she was that we came and for the Spirit we brought to her! It's so crazy to see that because that was the same results we had for our last week in Nassau! We taught so many members from the scriptures and saw the Spirit teach them what they needed to do.

We also had a cool miracle that was aligned with a large focus of finding/reactivating male priesthood holders to strengthen the brethren of the church here. We were just walking around on our first or second day here in May Pen and had this guy shout out to us from his veranda. He moved here a year ago and hasn't had his records moved over and wants to be more active in church. We have also begun to start teaching his tenant and neighbors!

Now it has felt a little slow at times with both Elder Blackwood and I being new to this area but things will progress and there will be miracles! It is the Lord's work after all. I hope it isn't too hot for you all and you're enjoying the summer weather. I'm sure enjoying it!
