It's been a crazy 2 weeks!

First, we started off with exchanges with the Elders in Freeport. I was with Elder Asay in Nassau so for the first time I didn't have to fly anywhere, phew! We worked really hard here and had a lot of conversations surrounding following the spirit. We had a point where we had open time in our schedule and we were out on the road. We didn't know where we should go or who we should visit but we had the idea to say a prayer right there. Sure enough something I was told when I first got here came to mind. We were told a while back that there was an in-active member that lived behind the church. So we decided to visit and meet them, however we went the "wrong" way over there. We were biking around to find the correct way but met Devardo who was working on his car. We both pulled over and talked with him and he had some things to say! Haha all good things but he has had some crazy experiences lately and we were definitely meant to meet him then and there! Then we ended up f

Crazy times!

This week was absolutely crazy! I don't even know where to start  .... other than we moved apartments. On the main island, if you were changing apartments and needed to move all of the furniture and personal belongings, you'd have assistance from the APs and mission president. Being in the Bahamas means that we are much more heavily involved in the process, even with getting a washer, stove, propane, etc. installed and set-up. We are in a nicer area now, so no more gunshots at night (don't worry mom I'm safe now 😊 ). It sadly is a little further from everyone we are teaching as well as the church building, but we are going to make it work! We are in charge of both missionary areas on this island because we are the only two here now, so it's been double the work on top of moving this week. It's been tough but such good work! I'm exhausted every night but it's the best type of exhaustion! We have our friend Andre Whitney, who's 11 years old, on date f

Another week in Kingston, Jamaica

Alright, you all may be tired of hearing it, but I went back to Jamaica this week! We are currently flying back to Nassau, though, and I'm ready to be back to see all of my Bahamian people!  Elder Lewis and I flew in on Wednesday and were picked up by the Assistants to the Mission President, Elder Scoresby and Elder Nichols. We got to stay with them again for the week and I love these Elders!  We had a lot of new missionaries coming into the mission, which is amazing! We got to help out with the APs to prepare orientations for these missionaries. We also had a missionary leadership meeting this week that was so uplifting. I'm ready to grow a lot in these next 6 months. So there were a lot of meetings this week, a lot of setting up and taking down, and a lot of provided meals, so I really can't complain about anything! I also got a new companion to go with me back to Nassau and that's Elder Nichols who was just the AP. He is really excited to come out to the Bahama

Wow, just wow!

We got transfers this week and I'm staying in Nassau! The crazy part is that I'm the only one out of us 4 and I don't know who my companion is going to be. Elder Saetre and Elder McBride headed out today and Elder Lewis and I head out on Wednesday to Jamaica. Then eventually I'll probably get my companion and come back but I don't know when.  That'll all be craziness for next week but this last week I got to go on exchanges back to Freeport again but with Elder Provost this time. He is an Elder I've served around a lot and it has been amazing to see how much he's grown. We had a great time working hard in my past area!  On Saturday we met with two friends we met a few weeks ago named Sybrena and Therese. We had an amazing lesson with them which was great because it didn't start off that way. There was a guy there that was on something that walked up and asked if he could join. We didn't know him but we said yes and he didn't stop talking
