CHRISTMAS! A little different, but I wouldn't say less exciting!

So all throughout the week, my companion and I just kept saying how we couldn't believe that Christmas was this weekend! It does not feel like it has been that long since I have started my mission. This week was a little harder to find people since most young adults are only here for school and have gone home to their families. So our finding has been pretty slow, but we were able to still bring the light of Christ to many people just walking around haha. I will say people have been a lot nicer the closer to Christmas we got. We got the chance to carol a couple more times and there were these two old Christian ladies in two different houses that told us to go and carol to the other one because they would love it! It was very sweet and both of them were touched that we stopped by.  For Christmas, the elders in our district all did a gift exchange with each other and that was fun! Christmas morning we opened those first and then any packages from home. Got a lot of mission gifts, inc

It's cold but I love it!

With this week's email I kind of want to start off with the spoiler of the week. Elder Henrie and I had our first friend baptized this Sunday!! She is awesome and honestly has taught me a lot about what a testimony of and trust in Jesus Christ really is. She truly trusts in him in all that she does and is the most excited person I have ever seen for baptism. She was referred to us last week by some elders in another zone and we are so glad we were given the chance to teach her and prepare her for baptism! That was the highlight haha, here's the rest of the week.  It is so cold! 🥶 And it's not even the worse part yet. Also not much snow either which is a little sad. It just gets very very windy and cold through the winter. With that in mind, we went caroling twice this week! It was actually really fun and cool though. Reminded me a little of home and we got to end each carol with a message on Christ. One family actually told us to come back in 20 minutes for cookies and

Dang it feels like so much has happened!

First just going to say oops for missing last week. I have fun story about my travel to Kansas that I will get to later haha. I know I didn't write much in my last email because I know if I write a lot you may have to actually sit down to read it all. So just a heads up... this one is going to be longer.    So MTC was a great experience! People have their own opinions on it but it really taught me to do my best as I move forward in the mission. How one of my fellow elders in my district put it is that the MTC is a life detoxs. You learn to put your normal way of life behind you and just focus on the mission. Part of my last week in the MTC we got to welcome and help the new coming wave of missionaries get their stuff and get them dropped off at the rooms. It was really cool and fun to get to help them because it was only a week before this that I was in their position. The rest of my last week was pretty normal in terms of our lessons everyday and our devotionals. However it was
