God loves to humble His children
We got to have p day on Tuesday and that was really nice because all of Monday, our regular day to prepare for the week, was spent in the airport coming back from Jamaica. On Tuesday we spent time golfing and I can say that I've probably now learned how to golf! Elder Provost showed me a few tips and after I drove my first ball straight out, I knew I was now hooked. Look out for me on a green when I get back or if you're in the Bahamas anytime soon haha! We are actually going to go to the driving range again this Monday.
Then the next few days we had some very great discussions with a few people we have only met recently. One guy named Nahum reached out to us and he is very interested in learning more. He is from Haiti and has been here for 2 weeks. He met missionaries in Haiti and learned English there from the missionaries. He knows most of what we shared already but just wants to be taught again and eventually be baptized. That was an amazing miracle! Then we finally met with a guy we met a few weeks ago. He drove up to us first and asked what we do and who we were. When we met him this week he actually shared that he met missionaries while he was in the Dominican Republic and wants to learn more and also be baptized! They are just so straight forward haha. Another great discussion we had was with our friend named Claudia. She is a Jamaican mother of two daughters and it is amazing to hear what she believes and has learned through the experiences in her life because they align so so much with what we teach as missionaries. It's actually insane and we shared that with her and it has piqued her interest and really wants to continue having us over so she can hear more of what we share. She is also hoping to come to church this next Sunday. We had a lot of miracles but we may have gotten a little prideful I guess because oh boy were we humbled.
Elder Saetre took a crash on Friday night that hurt him pretty good, hurt the bike a little, and hurt our phone pretty bad. That left us with 1 phone for the weekend and 4 Elders. It slowed us down a lot haha and it was tough sometimes getting all four to agree with a planned day. Like I said though, it was humbling. Everything is just about good now, should be getting another phone soon.
Love you all and hope you have another good or an even better week.
