You Winsome, you lose some (Also happy Thanksgiving!)

Transfers was exciting! Lots of moving around, and thankfully few hiccups. One missionary missed their bus but that worked out all good. Another got dropped off at the wrong place but by the end of Tuesday everyone was safe in their areas!

Elder Stone is so much fun! One of our first days together we were driving in down town Falmouth and there was a tighter squeeze on this one way road. A guy runs up worried about his car that was parked where it probably shouldn't and Elder Stone says, "Don't worry, I'm a Nascar driver". The guy answered, "Oh shoot, do your ting, do your ting". It was a lot funnier in the moment, haha.

We got booted in town for parking in a permit parking spot... oops. We had to go pull out money to pay for it but we were able to meet and talk with a lady in line for the bank named Winsome. She was really sweet and definitely made the day much, much better.

An absolute blessing that happened this week was meeting Brother Smith. We gave him a call during the week to try and visit but he was talking about how bad of a spot the church is at right now. Because of that I felt like sharing a scripture from Jacob 5 that touches on how God knows that spots can be tough and not the best but as we nurture it, it can still grow and bear blessings. However once I said Jacob 5 in the Book of Mormon, Brother Smith got excited because he said he had just read from Jacob that morning! He then ranted a little longer and we said we would call him again soon. Now, fast forward a few days later, we are driving up towards the cockpit country in Trelawny. Roads are becoming less and less of a road but we saw this housing community and decided to find some people to teach. We met this sweet lady Marlene and while we were talking with her, a guy called at us saying his grandpa was a member. His grandpa was Brother Smith and he said that he lives just around the corner! We were going to ask him to better direct us but he took off in his car. We finished with Marlene and headed off in the direction we thought we were told to go and after a few turns came to this house with the guys car parked out front! Then Brother Smith walked out of his house and was so happy to see us. Fun fact, he was the old branch president of Falmouth Branch!! He really is a cool guy, but just really old.

At church this Sunday we had this sweet lady, Ms. Mills, join us and she was so happy to be there. Her words exactly, "It was so short but very spicy, I like it." Haha normal churches here will go all day long if you stay so for them, 2 hours seems very short I guess.

Sister Murjani, graciously, fed us some fried chicken and rice and peas! She made probably the best chicken gravy I have ever had. We got the recipe and all of the ingredients so this coming week we will see if we can recreate it!!! After Sister Murjani fed us we had a great lesson on the Plan of Salvation with her and Nashawn! Nashawn had a lot of questions and by the end really understood God's plan for him. He was so excited to learn about where his ancestors are and how much God loves him.

All in all a great week! Love you all and have a great Thanksgiving!
