Merry Christmas!

We have had some great miracles this last week. Since we have gotten here we have been looking for opportunities to serve people and we have had several people say they will reach out to us but more incredible was an opportunity for an unplanned service. We were sitting on a bench when we saw a guy, named Joseph, unloading his van. We offered to help and he was very grateful for the service. It was a lot of things and it was just going to be him and his wife unloading it all. I'll say it worked some muscles in me that I haven't used as much for a little bit. It felt good to be serving though. He offered us some juice after and when returning the glasses we gave him our number for when he has to load everything back up. (A little background is that they are moving out but they had to load some things back up because the ships stopped loading for the holidays. So they will resume and have to load it all back in a week or so.)

We also had a few other less active members of the church reach out or find us this last week and that was crazy! The sad part was that none of them made it to church this week but we will follow up on that, hopefully next week will be better.

This week has been on a little bit of a slow down because of the holidays and of how cold it has been. I mean we had a low of 59 degrees!!! That is so cold! Now don't laugh, I've been in Jamaica for just under a year. I'm not accustomed to this weather!

I've learned a lot about Christmas this year. There are a lot of people in Jamaica that I've met, and a lot here too, that won't be having much of a Christmas. There are many who won't have presents, who won't have food, and who won't have all of their family. However we do all have Christ. Sharing this message is the most important thing to me and I hope and pray that all who feel like they don't have anything know that Christ did everything for them. Luke 2:6 "And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered." I love this scripture because "the days were accomplished that [we all] should be delivered" when Christ, the Savior, was born.

I hope you all had a joyous Christmas.
