Duncan Donuts ...?
This week started off with MLC (Mission Leadership Council) which was so good and such a good start of a week! A small highlight of that is getting to see many old faces.
This week Elder Webb and I experimented with our cooking! First off we tried to make some brown stewed chicken. It ended up being more like black stewed chicken and we believe we did something wrong... I will have to let you all know how the next attempt is... whenever that is haha. Then last night we made chicken soup with dumplings, carrots, and cabbage. That was actually way good!
An amazing miracle this week was finding our new friend Anthony! We were planning on where to go today and we felt like traveling to this area called Duncans. We parked and walked through the neighborhoods talking to people and found our way on a path that looked like it was going to dead-end up a mountain. However neither Elder Webb and I felt like turning around and thank goodness we didn't because it quickly turned back to the main road. Right as we got there a taxi man pulled into his house and we went up to talk with him. Anthony was very interested when we talked with him about the Book of Mormon. We gave him a copy and invited him to read and take the challenge that Moroni gives us all at the end of the Book of Mormon!
Moroni 10:4
"4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."
God answers prayers. It is hard, at times, for me to see it for myself but I trust that God knows what's best and that He will give the answers I need. The same goes for each of you! God loves you all and I do too!
