Seeing some old familiar faces

Early this week we had a cool meeting with our friend Herrol. We were just walking in town when we stopped and talked with him about the Restoration. After we shared a message with him, he told us that he knows of the church and actually has a cousin that goes! He seemed really interested so we set time to go the next day to visit him. When we got there to visit his cousin, Sister Burke, she walks out of the shop right behind us and decides to join the lesson!! It was a big tender mercy because it gave Herrol the inspiration to do all he can to make it to church this last Sunday and he made it!!

We got to go on really short exchanges with the APs this week and it was really good. I was lucky enough to get to have about an hour with each one and I always get to see how much is still there for me to learn.

This week I got to try some more foods! We got roasted conch, yes the giant sea snail, and some red pea soup, both of which were really good. Then we got to try some Chinese moon pies from Sister Ren for the Chinese moonlight festival on Saturday and Sunday. They were pretty interesting and it was fun to have.

Another fun thing was that on Saturday there was a meeting at the branch building for all of the Ocho Rios, Port Antonio, and Yallahs leaders and sadly, Elder Mcbride and I were not invited. However, we did pass by the church and I got to see President Vince, and a few other brothers from Yallahs and that was really amazing. Yallahs was just my last area so it really doesn't feel long since I was there.

It was a good week and I look forward to the next one! Hope all is well with all of you. Love you all
