Yeah, only 1 picture ... oops

First, I want to say thanks to all who reached out! I hope I didn't make 2 weeks ago sound horrible because God was there with me, but I appreciate everyone's thoughts. This week definitely felt better with the work and it is honestly crazy how in such a short period an area could see no progress to a lot!

We have a couple new people we are teaching this week, including a young girl named Jenna Lee. Now I don't know if I have said this yet but kids here can be very bright. When teaching Jenna Lee, she is not afraid to ask questions, and she understands very well. She is 11 and her mom is an inactive that we are trying to get back to church. She is actually best friends with Martha, who I talked about last week. We will see on how meeting with them both continues to go, because how things go when teaching children largely depends on their parents and how dedicated they are.

This week we also had District Conference for the Mandeville District. That means that we got to go to Hopeton, which is a 45-60 minute ride, and watch the broadcast. We got to listen to a few speakers and then our mission president and his wife. A lot of what was shared was geared to preparing the members of Jamaica to receive a temple of the Lord. One thing that President Odonkor shared was 4 things that we need to do to be a temple worthy people.

1. Live the Gospel of Jesus Christ

2. Care for those who are in need

3. Invite all to receive the Gospel

4. Unite families for eternity

He then said that the theme for the next 6 months will be "Hastening the Work of Salvation and Exaltation" because that is what will happen when those 4 points are being done. The meeting really was the spiritual high of the week and I always love listening to what the leaders in the church have to say.

Not much else happened this week, besides that it went faster than I could take pictures. I apologize for the lack of pictures, haha, and I hope things are well back at home. Something cool I heard this week was that trusting God is hard, but so is being without God hard. So pick your hard.

Love you all!! Yes even you!
