We ... Got ... A ... Dresser!!!
So last week I said I would look for miracles that have happened and I am pretty sure the devil read that part of my email ... it was a tough week. However, even when things were tough I saw many tender mercies from the Lord that I plan to share with all of you today! :)
First I will go through the smaller ones. We got a DRESSER!!! I finally feel at home, haha. Sadly it has been hard to get a dresser out to our area and I have been living out of my suitcases for 4 months.
Another blessing was on a visit with a new friend. An old lady that had previously joined our lessons with other friends in that area came up to join our visit. We call her Mama Iris and she, apparently, had been "brought back from the dead after a week of being dead in the hospital" (probably in a coma but who knows). She is a Pentecostal and is very expressive through her testimony of Jesus and her praising. Usually she can praise for over 30 minutes but she was actually very sweet and short with her visit and we were able to finish our lesson and stay on schedule. That was a huge miracle that day, haha!
Some other miracles are that we got to meet with someone we stopped teaching about a month ago, Mikel. We had a very good lesson on how we can always begin coming unto Christ again, even when we feel like we have taken so many steps backwards. We also were able to go to a very far and very new area and find where this lady lived to get her a Book of Mormon in a single day! We had to take two taxis and walk pretty far to find where she lived and do the same thing to get back home.
One last miracle was that we got a number from a lady in a shop on Saturday. She wrote it on the back of our receipt and we put it on the phone quickly so we wouldn't lose it if we lost the paper. Pretty sure we threw the paper away later that night but on Sunday our phone was giving us problems so we had to factory reset our phone. What we didn't know would happen though was that our note of the number we got before would be deleted when we reset our phone and later Sunday night realized this. We looked around the apartment and through the garbage and couldn't find the paper. I went to go change because we got rained on and I was still wet and Elder Schneider was making dinner. As I finished changing, Elder Schneider walks in with the paper in his hand! All he said was "I stepped on it". Apparently he was making food and there wasn't anything on the floor that he saw and then moved around a little and stepped on the receipt!
There are always miracles happening around us and honestly I had to sit down for a little before writing this email to see the hand of the Lord in the week. Hope you all enjoyed hearing about the miracles I have seen and have a miraculous week yourselves!
