Born and raised Kansas! 🌻

Sorry for the delay but I'll explain later. Covid continues to suck and somehow be a blessing in disguise! It has been hard with so many people we have contacted and begun to teach and now can't meet with because they or someone they know is sick. There is a lot of this going around everywhere so I'm sure anyone reading this has seen it a little, but maybe not. With it being so hard and such a trial in our street-contacting work, we have had time to strengthen our Facebook work and we were able to contact a lot of members to get them in on lessons! It is really cool that even when certain areas of missionary work are restricted, we see no less miracles!!

Now with transfers coming up Elder Henrie and I were really wondering what was going to happen to our area. Because of many reasons we were pretty sure our area, the Rock Road YSA, was going to get two different missionaries assigned to the area. So we were trying really hard to get the people we were teaching ready for that. Thursday and Friday were so busy with lessons with all of our people and I am pretty confident that the Lord is watching over them and will help them to continue to learn and have a want to learn with the new missionaries. I don't know who they are but I know they are the missionaries those people need from now on.

Now the question most people may be wondering is what is up with the possibility of me going to Jamiaca?.. Well when I got my covid test I was positive.... I was going to Jamaica because I got a negative result!!! Haha sorry, when I called my family that is what I said and it probably worked better being said than read. I don't have covid and got flight itinerary mid week, to fly to Jamaica on the 18th!! I am a lot more excited now as I am writing this on my flight to Miami but when I first got the email I will be honest, I was a little sad. I was for sure that I would be in Kansas for longer and I was ready to love it there. I have loved it there but I guess I fulfilled my purpose in Kansas and now I am more ready than ever to fulfill my purpose in Jamaica!

I was born into my mission in Kansas and am now ready to move out to Jamaica! It's hard and I am leaving people I have grown to love but it is so exciting at the same time!

One thing my dad had shared with me a little bit ago was to "Share the gospel -> Gospel is love -> Love the work -> Work hard." This applies to everyone, everywhere, whether in Kansas, Jamaica, or at home.

Love you all

-Elder Jensen

P.s. Sorry I didn't send this earlier. I am actually in Jamaica now and we had to turn in our phones with our passports and won't get them back until we head home. I am going to figure out, hopefully, how emails will continue to work and all of that stuff but I am sending this on a mission phone right now. A little weird but I am ready to dive into the work! Also I don't know if the photos are sending with this email so hopefully they do. 😁🤞
