Go Brazil!
This
week started off great with Zone Conference! I loved it!
After Zone Conference we had to take an Elder to the hospital and while 4 of us were there, we all got bombarded with people wanting to contend with us. However once we got past those people we did find the few who were much more humble and nicer to talk to.
The next day, Wednesday, we started exchanges with the Montego Bay Elders. I was with Elder Asay in Mobay and it was great! We got to visit a few new areas that neither of us had been in before and found a lot of new people for them to teach. The highlight of the exchange was meeting Auntie Jennett! We were walking in this area near a members house when Auntie Jennett came out to tell us the member wasn't home. The Elders a few weeks ago helped the member out with a small act of service and Auntie Jennett was thanking us for that earlier. We told her that is what we do and said thanks for letting us know that her neighbor wasn't there. As we were about to leave, Elder Asay turned around and asked if she needed help. She had two big bags of produce on the ground and said she was going to take them up to her house. We offered to take them up for her and she was praising God like none other! Sweet lady and it felt so good to be able to help her.
Exchanges ended on Friday and it was a good weekend of work in Trelawny (that's the Parish). We went to several new places, one of which was Perth Town. It is very small, up this road that travels right next to the Martha Brae river. It was a beautiful drive! We met a few people there, we met this lady and her grandson. We are working hard to find the future leaders of the church for Falmouth. Please keep them in your prayers that we can find them.
Thanksgiving,
to be honest, was a completely normal day here in Jamaica. A little sad but my
next one will definitely have a lot more food. It was nice and I got to call my
family for a bit and that is always the best.
We found out the world cup is going on and almost all of Falmouth is for Brazil. So go Brazil!
Oh also! While on exchanges these two girls came up to us and one called my name. I was very confused at first but then I recognized Shenelia! She was someone I taught in Yallahs!! She apparently lives in Montego Bay and says that she told me that. I forgot I guess. We told her where the church was in Mobay and hopefully she will visit.
Life is full of miracles, make sure to find them. Love you all!
