Another transfer! So new comp and finally the same area!!
So Wednesday was transfers. That was fun because I got to be a temporary companion with Elder Grant, our zone leader, and drive the Elders who were transferring either to the bus or to their new areas (Zone Leaders get cars... lucky). Then after we got everyone off to their areas we had a good lunch of barbecue fried chicken and rice and peas at Is-a-reel, a Jamaican restaurant, and just enough time to study. After that we headed back to the bus stop in Mandeville to get the new Elders. The truck only has so many seats and we had more Elders coming in than seats available, so Elder Schneider and I taxied back to Junction. Elder Schneider is my new companion and he is actually from Carmichael, California!! Super close, which is crazy! We got to the apartment and Elder Schneider got all settled in and called it a day, it was already 8 at that point.
I have a lot of high hopes for this area and with the little bit of time already with my new companion I am excited! The next couple days I got to show Elder Schneider some of the areas we cover and some of the people we are teaching. Nothing really big besides putting Chimisha and Adori on date for baptism on the 9th of April! They are both super excited but we set it a little far out to give them time to be able to make it to church a couple of times.
We also got some wooden animals from a Rasta we have met a couple of times and they are pretty cool. I got a duck family of 5 and a croc. Looking to get some more in this next week so I will let you know how that goes.
This week kind of flew by with transfers so this one is going to be a little shorter than previous but I hope y'all enjoyed day light savings 😉 (Jamaica doesn't do that) and hope that all is well.
Love you all and God be with you until we meet again 😁
