Another week in Mandeville

This week was pretty eventful! One evening we had a member who recently returned from a mission join us in our companionship study, which me and my companion have every evening, and we did teaching role plays with him. Haha, missionaries are pretty familiar with roleplays and usually are not fond of them. It was fun with him, though, and we learned a lot! That same member also brought a friend to church! We were pretty excited to teach her after church and, oh boy, did she have questions to ask and then her own answers to give to every one. I had begun to question a bit what  her purpose of asking those questions was, but we just listened and tried to really understand where she is at with her conversion and relationship with God. We are hopeful for her!🙏  Here is one of the many things I've learned this week as well. I need to be careful playing sports... Vacation, work, surprise, vacation

Tuesday we had a mission leadership meeting and it went well, took a lot from it. We got pulled from our area early Monday morning to go to Kingston, to stay the night, and then have the meeting the next day... that was a little annoying but we managed and got fed. 😋  Ok, now imagine you're working hard in a new area, trying to get used to all of the newness and  different circumstances. You love playing ping pong in the mornings and also being with the new friends you are making and then you get news that you're going back?... Back? Back where?... Back to Maypen!.. Wait, what!? Yep, I am back in Maypen. That was my last area 2 weeks ago and I took Elder Wilson with me. There have been 4 sisters there and they are going to replace us in Mandeville. The weirdest thing is that this is only for 9 days, so by next Monday, most likely, we will be back in Mandeville. Dang it gets chaotic sometimes 😅. It's cold but I love it!

With this week's email I kind of want to start off with the spoiler of the week. Elder Henrie and I had our first friend baptized this Sunday!! She is awesome and honestly has taught me a lot about what a testimony of and trust in Jesus Christ really is. She truly trusts in him in all that she does and is the most excited person I have ever seen for baptism. She was referred to us last week by some elders in another zone and we are so glad we were given the chance to teach her and prepare her for baptism! That was the highlight haha, here's the rest of the week.  It is so cold! 🥶 And it's not even the worse part yet. Also not much snow either which is a little sad. It just gets very very windy and cold through the winter. With that in mind, we went caroling twice this week! It was actually really fun and cool though.
