Another week in Mandeville

This week was pretty eventful! One evening we had a member who recently returned from a mission join us in our companionship study, which me and my companion have every evening, and we did teaching role plays with him. Haha, missionaries are pretty familiar with roleplays and usually are not fond of them. It was fun with him, though, and we learned a lot! That same member also brought a friend to church! We were pretty excited to teach her after church and, oh boy, did she have questions to ask and then her own answers to give to every one. I had begun to question a bit what  her purpose of asking those questions was, but we just listened and tried to really understand where she is at with her conversion and relationship with God. We are hopeful for her!🙏  Here is one of the many things I've learned this week as well. I need to be careful playing sports... Vacation, work, surprise, vacation

Tuesday we had a mission leadership meeting and it went well, took a lot from it. We got pulled from our area early Monday morning to go to Kingston, to stay the night, and then have the meeting the next day... that was a little annoying but we managed and got fed. 😋  Ok, now imagine you're working hard in a new area, trying to get used to all of the newness and  different circumstances. You love playing ping pong in the mornings and also being with the new friends you are making and then you get news that you're going back?... Back? Back where?... Back to Maypen!.. Wait, what!? Yep, I am back in Maypen. That was my last area 2 weeks ago and I took Elder Wilson with me. There have been 4 sisters there and they are going to replace us in Mandeville. The weirdest thing is that this is only for 9 days, so by next Monday, most likely, we will be back in Mandeville. Dang it gets chaotic sometimes 😅. Alright, sorry about last week

So I am back in Jamaica! I have missed it here, that's for sure. Being in the culture and being around the people has brought back a lot of good feelings. I feel like my adjustment hasn't been too bad but we did come back and forth between Islands a lot for the last few months. I have a new companion and his name is Elder Blackwood! He is from Yallahs and actually decided to serve his mission when I was there in his home branch. He was a great youth when I was there last year and it's so cool to be training him into his mission. He was originally assigned to the Ivory Coast, Africa Mission but will be here for 6 weeks before he goes to the MTC in Ghana.  We have been really focusing on teaching the people the good word of God. Teaching from the scriptures to everyone recently has brought a lot of miracles.
