  Well, I did not know if I was going to write an email while in the MTC but there is a computer right next to the washer that my load of laundry is in so here I am waiting for it to finish. It has been such a cool transition to in-person! Finally got to meet my comp and everyone else in my district and can't believe it's only been 2 weeks that I have been with these friends. The Spirit is so strong here on this Campus! I know the things that I have and will learn here will guide me through my mission and the rest of my life. Leaning on the Lord and less on myself has been the hardest thing for me to apply to my life. More recently though, I have seen the difference it can make in my teaching and learning. There are hard days for sure when I can't stop thinking about everyone at home, but in my own farewell talk I talked about what we would be willing to give for the greatest possession. Vacation, work, surprise, vacation

Tuesday we had a mission leadership meeting and it went well, took a lot from it. We got pulled from our area early Monday morning to go to Kingston, to stay the night, and then have the meeting the next day... that was a little annoying but we managed and got fed. 😋  Ok, now imagine you're working hard in a new area, trying to get used to all of the newness and  different circumstances. You love playing ping pong in the mornings and also being with the new friends you are making and then you get news that you're going back?... Back? Back where?... Back to Maypen!.. Wait, what!? Yep, I am back in Maypen. That was my last area 2 weeks ago and I took Elder Wilson with me. There have been 4 sisters there and they are going to replace us in Mandeville. The weirdest thing is that this is only for 9 days, so by next Monday, most likely, we will be back in Mandeville. Dang it gets chaotic sometimes 😅. I just got a haircut from a guy who knew very little English!

Don't worry, the guy did a pretty good job, better than every haircut that I've given myself, haha. This last week cruised by. We didn't find many new people this week but spent a lot of time with those we already have met and helped them to continue to progress. Two of our friends from Haiti don't know much English and that is a struggle we are having with them. I still can't believe that we are teaching people that don't understand us but the members of the church who know English and Haitian Creole are a lot of help. One of our friends, Walline, who didn't know much English before has actually been learning and understands a lot more than when she first started meeting with missionaries. So that is way cool to see and gives me hope that she will be able to learn a lot more easily from us.  It was another week of being fed a lot by members. Oh I love Nassau and food, haha.
