So Much Work

We really have our hands full here and it's the greatest ever. One person we are teaching now is a young woman named Paula-Ann or goes by Apple. She has a baptismal date for August 5th and has been taught everything. We had the Elders in Mandeville come down for her baptismal interview. She's gone to church all growing up so she is one of the most prepared I've met. With her already knowing everything we will be teaching her a sort of mission prep because in the next year she hopes to serve a mission as well! 

We also had some amazing lessons with our friends Crystal and Henry that I've been talking about for the last 5ish weeks. We taught them at the beginning of the week and Crystal invited herself to be baptized! She was so excited and giggly it was so cool and almost hilarious! Henry is just as excited but wants to make sure he is good for it so he wants to learn some more before he makes a date for baptism.

There's a lot of other friends as well progressing and loving the gospel and there's a lot of members we are meeting and helping to build their faith. I love it and wouldn't wish to be doing anything else. Love you all and I'll send a new one next week!

Vacation, work, surprise, vacation

Tuesday we had a mission leadership meeting and it went well, took a lot from it. We got pulled from our area early Monday morning to go to Kingston, to stay the night, and then have the meeting the next day... that was a little annoying but we managed and got fed. 😋  Ok, now imagine you're working hard in a new area, trying to get used to all of the newness and  different circumstances. You love playing ping pong in the mornings and also being with the new friends you are making and then you get news that you're going back?... Back? Back where?... Back to Maypen!.. Wait, what!? Yep, I am back in Maypen. That was my last area 2 weeks ago and I took Elder Wilson with me. There have been 4 sisters there and they are going to replace us in Mandeville. The weirdest thing is that this is only for 9 days, so by next Monday, most likely, we will be back in Mandeville. Dang it gets chaotic sometimes 😅. Another week in Mandeville

This week was pretty eventful! One evening we had a member who recently returned from a mission join us in our companionship study, which me and my companion have every evening, and we did teaching role plays with him. Haha, missionaries are pretty familiar with roleplays and usually are not fond of them. It was fun with him, though, and we learned a lot! That same member also brought a friend to church! We were pretty excited to teach her after church and, oh boy, did she have questions to ask and then her own answers to give to every one. I had begun to question a bit what  her purpose of asking those questions was, but we just listened and tried to really understand where she is at with her conversion and relationship with God. We are hopeful for her!🙏  Here is one of the many things I've learned this week as well. I need to be careful playing sports... Wet and cool Mandeville

Alright well it rains more here in Mandeville than in May Pen so that's been a treat this week! I think just about everyday it's dumped rain and I no longer have a truck to take shelter in. Honestly, it has been a lot of fun and reminds me of past areas and times on my mission.  The Branch here is way fun! We had Friday  night activities and we played football for a bit. I was already sore from walking and then football did me over on the tiredness. I definitely slept well that night. Fun story though was that I slipped in the mud hard but popped back up and got around a kid with the ball and now some of the branch kids call me superman or Messi Jr. I haven't told them I'm actually not good at football yet 🤫 We also have this active, recently returned missionary who went out teaching with us and that was way sweet.
