Crazy times!

This week was absolutely crazy! I don't even know where to start  .... other than we moved apartments. On the main island, if you were changing apartments and needed to move all of the furniture and personal belongings, you'd have assistance from the APs and mission president. Being in the Bahamas means that we are much more heavily involved in the process, even with getting a washer, stove, propane, etc. installed and set-up. We are in a nicer area now, so no more gunshots at night (don't worry mom I'm safe now 😊). It sadly is a little further from everyone we are teaching as well as the church building, but we are going to make it work! We are in charge of both missionary areas on this island because we are the only two here now, so it's been double the work on top of moving this week. It's been tough but such good work! I'm exhausted every night but it's the best type of exhaustion! We have our friend Andre Whitney, who's 11 years old, on date for baptism on the 27th of this month. We are hoping his dad will baptize him and that all goes well. He is a great kid so the only problem will be schedules aligning. Other than that we are working with a ton of different member families that are all amazing! We got the Cherenfants, the other Cherenfants, the Saint-Natus family, the Whitney's and the Mackies. All of them have 1 or more members of the family that are working towards being baptized in the next few months so we got to get to work!  

Today we had the Freeport Elders on the island for exchanges tomorrow, so we took them around to the popular spots for our p-day. We went to a driving range in the morning, Margaritaville for lunch, and walked through the Atlantis resort. It was way fun and I'm definitely burned from being out riding everywhere. I think the sun's getting hotter.  

God always gives tough circumstances for us to grow. I've seen how I need to take that opportunity to grow and not shrivel when the pressure is there. God gives us strength so that we can bare our trials. I have a firm testimony of that. I love you all and hope you can take your opportunities as well.

Tuesday we had a mission leadership meeting and it went well, took a lot from it. We got pulled from our area early Monday morning to go to Kingston, to stay the night, and then have the meeting the next day... that was a little annoying but we managed and got fed. 😋  Ok, now imagine you're working hard in a new area, trying to get used to all of the newness and  different circumstances. You love playing ping pong in the mornings and also being with the new friends you are making and then you get news that you're going back?... Back? Back where?... Back to Maypen!.. Wait, what!? Yep, I am back in Maypen. That was my last area 2 weeks ago and I took Elder Wilson with me. There have been 4 sisters there and they are going to replace us in Mandeville. The weirdest thing is that this is only for 9 days, so by next Monday, most likely, we will be back in Mandeville. Dang it gets chaotic sometimes 😅. Another week in Mandeville

This week was pretty eventful! One evening we had a member who recently returned from a mission join us in our companionship study, which me and my companion have every evening, and we did teaching role plays with him. Haha, missionaries are pretty familiar with roleplays and usually are not fond of them. It was fun with him, though, and we learned a lot! That same member also brought a friend to church! We were pretty excited to teach her after church and, oh boy, did she have questions to ask and then her own answers to give to every one. I had begun to question a bit what  her purpose of asking those questions was, but we just listened and tried to really understand where she is at with her conversion and relationship with God. We are hopeful for her!🙏  Here is one of the many things I've learned this week as well. I need to be careful playing sports... Wet and cool Mandeville

Alright well it rains more here in Mandeville than in May Pen so that's been a treat this week! I think just about everyday it's dumped rain and I no longer have a truck to take shelter in. Honestly, it has been a lot of fun and reminds me of past areas and times on my mission.  The Branch here is way fun! We had Friday  night activities and we played football for a bit. I was already sore from walking and then football did me over on the tiredness. I definitely slept well that night. Fun story though was that I slipped in the mud hard but popped back up and got around a kid with the ball and now some of the branch kids call me superman or Messi Jr. I haven't told them I'm actually not good at football yet 🤫 We also have this active, recently returned missionary who went out teaching with us and that was way sweet.
