New Providence Bahamas!
My last few days in Freeport were so good and I am always so happy to leave an area on a high note. There were many miracles last week and many members that we have spent the last 7 weeks visiting were sad to see one of us go. It was a great, hard working time in Freeport and I learned a lot with Elder Samuels. Definitely miss him and my time there but good things are still ahead!
Well I'm now in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. My new companion is Elder Saetre and he was serving in Port Antonio branch, which is somewhere I served, for around 4 months. It was a huge adjustment going from quiet Freeport to loud, noisy Nassau.
It's been tough to try and meet with the members here at the beginning but a miracle was that we were able to meet with Sister Okhuarobo, who is the president for the women in the branch here. We met her and her family at their tire shop. We were able to hear how her testimony of Christ has grown over the years and that is just my favorite thing to ask people when meeting with them. It is amazing to see how real the hand of God can be in someone's life that you just met. She is very optimistic for the future missionary work in the branch and is willing to help us as much as she can.
Then to top off the week we had church! Church was crazy because I haven't seen so many people inside of a church building in a while. There were probably over 70 people and we wanted to meet them all. We weren't able to but we did meet a good amount. They were all pretty happy to see missionaries back and a lot of testimonies were given on working with the missionaries. There is a lot of good work to do here with the members and I am so excited to get going!
Always a new adventure! Hope all is well. Love you all!
